Ambient Monitoring
During the application of a coating, the presence of moisture in the environment or on the work surface, often results in a poor quality finish. Problems such as poor adhesion of the coating or premature corrosion of the substrate can occur.
To determine the likelihood of moisture affecting the quality of the finish, it is essential that the surface temperature, air temperature, relative humidity (RH) and dew point are all measured.

Hygro-therometer Temperature and Humidity
This device is used to measure temperature, humidity, dew point and wet bulb temperature. Simple to use, just open the wick container wet the wick thoroughly, ensuring that the wick on the thermometer bulb is wet. Then holding the thermometer case horizontally, rotate the instrument for 15 to 20 seconds.
Record temperatures of the wet bulb first and then the dry bulb and calculate the wet bulb depression- this is the difference between the two readings.
Then using the enclosed chart look where the wet bulb depression is to determine the % relative humidity.
No battery required.
